The outsider

“The Outsider” is a set of black-and-white photographs that reflect how I, as a foreigner, often move through this place with the eyes of an outsider. 

I observe the world around, its routines, its architecture, its emotional temperature. But at the same time, I'm also being observed. 

I use distant perspectives to suggest both viewpoints, the one looking and the one being looked at. This work explores how space can hold emotion and how I try to find meaning or belonging within it.
